GPTZero is a smart platform, that detects texts generated by AI-driven large-language models like ChatGPT. Launched by Princeton student Edward Tian and made public on January 3, 2023, the natural language processing tool analyses input using a combination of perplexity and burstiness to estimate the likelihood that the text was created by AI. Apart from the basic detection, GPTZero provides users with advanced features. Some of these include deep scan reports, AI vocabulary frequency analysis for human-like word and phrase patterns, plagiarism checking, grammar correction, and citation verification tools. Plus, it has an Authorship Verification module that tracks the writing process metadata (like keystroke history) using the Origin feature.
